New Year's Eve is the night the stars come out and the fireworks go off.  On Saturday December 31st 2011, the popular NYE festivities will commence and one lucky Miss New Year's Eve will come out shining like a star and enjoy a fabulous New Year's Eve.

The NYE team is looking for a confident and entertaining person to become Miss New Year's Eve. She will win VIP access to some of the best NYE Parties, to promote and participate in all of the NYE action.

Not only will Miss New Year's Eve earn the esteemed title and bragging rights for bringing in the new year, but will also walk away with fabulous prizes including accommodation for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

The winners prize starts with 2 nights (NYE & NYD) accommodation for 2 in Melbourne with a late checkout on the 2nd January 2011. Aswell as that you will have the chance to go to the best parties in Melbourne. That's a start... and there are more prizes to come including runner up prizes.

To enter, contestants simply complete the entry form online with the simple registration questions.
Then the entry will be confirmed by reply and then entrants will be instructed to submit a photo of themselves.
The photos will form part of the entry with the context of the photos being the entrant "blowing a kiss".
At NYE we are big on "blowing kisses".
If you watch the videos from NYE TV you will see Matt (2008 compere) and all the people videoed blowing kisses.

This year the parties Miss NYE will attend will have a NYE Beach Party theme and that too may be a hint for your kiss blowing photo.

Entrants will be judged on their entertainment value, presentation style, likeability and compatibility with the Miss New Year's Eve brand title.

Entries will go online and popular voting will form part of the competition.

Entries open Thursday 1st December to all permanent residents of Australia aged 18 years and over.

NOTE: Entries close at 11:59pm on Thursday 22nd December. Five (atleast) outstanding finalists will then be chosen. Interviews will be conducted by phone or in person and one lucky winner will be announced before the big night.
